Who
WE
Be
A collective of Black and Queer spiritualists, artists, cultural organizers, and activists, The Wind & The Warrior apply indigenous healing modalities, and place-based cultural arts practices, within movements for transformative justice and spaces of mutual aid.
Our intention is to contribute to the sustainable transformation of our relationship to the Earth through economic and ecological shifts to which we are called to respond with great imagination. Grounded in our Black Feminist and eco-womanist values, we facilitate the healing of intergenerational wounds and relationships.
We do this by centering the most marginalized in communities and at the frontlines, i.e. Indigenous, Black, Brown, LGBTQ+, disabled, and poor peoples. We offer ancestral knowledge and practices; we support movement spaces, activists, and leaders to embrace and embody healing practices and regard them as critical to “the work”; we grow community and movement healers through education and training experiences.

Seven Elemental Principles of The Wind & The Warrior
THE CIRCLE
RELEASE
SEVEN
SACRED WATERS
-
We honor the wisdoms of circles and spirals that unify the past, present and future generations through patterns and cycles, evolutions and revolutions. The Wind & the Warrior embrace infinite movement across time and space.
-
We release that which doesn’t serve us, including shame, fear, oppressive thought systems and dispiriting energies. The Wind & the Warrior let it go.
-
We search for underlying meanings and hidden truths - with intelligence, intuition and spiritual discipline - to understand current realities, reject scarcity paradigms and create new possibilities. The Wind & the Warrior embody the mystic number 7.
-
We honor the sacred waters that nourish and cleanse our minds, bodies and spirits, and open our hearts to radical acceptance, surrender and release. The Wind & The Warrior seek communication with the sacred waters.
DIVINE LIGHT
JOY & PLEASURE
-
We call upon that which contains and reflects all to connect us as light workers to each other and to our ancestors. The Wind & The Warrior conduct divine light.
-
We invite into our lives joy, play and all that is in alignment with our greatest good, our highest destiny. The Wind & the Warrior call upon the principle of pleasure.
-
The Wind & the Warrior are seeded by the Black Rock. We honor the shared symbols of the infinite divine among many spiritual systems. We bow to the Oneness of All and to the Creator.
